The Good Shepherd Alliance is a Christian nonprofit that has served the homeless in Loudoun County, Virginia since 1983. Today, their services help more than 3,000 men, women and children each year and they provide almost 10,000 bed nights, not to mention that 77% of those served go on to stable housing. Good Shepherd Alliance believes the path back from homelessness is about more than emergency shelter, more than helping the children: It’s about helping the whole individual and the whole household make meaningful changes and sustain self-sufficiency. Their program includes a shelter, transitional housing facilities, caseworkers, goal-setting and skills for jobs, parenting and life. Learn more about them here.
