HomeAid, CarrHomes, and their trade partners have completed a renovation project for NOVACO, an organization that for 14 years has provided transitional housing for victims of domestic violence.

Renovations to the home included sanding and refinishing the hardwood floors and repairing and installing a new floor in the kitchen, repainting the entire house inside and out, removing a bathroom window for privacy and retiling the bathroom floor to ceiling, replacing light fixtures, and installing all new kitchen appliances.

“HomeAid has been a godsend in helping us continue to serve our clients,” stated Kim Roman Corle, chair of NOVACO’s board and interim acting executive director. “Because of HomeAid and their partners, we’re able to provide housing that not only gives our clients a roof over their heads, but also shows them that they’re worthy of living in a nice home. It’s an important part of their recovery, especially for those looking for a fresh start after living in an abusive environment. On a purely practical level, HomeAid also helps close a financial gap, as so much funding and grants have dried up. I can honestly say I don’t know what we’d do without HomeAid.”
